Macro shot taken handheld with Canon 10D, Sigma 105mm macro lens, homemade bracket with Sigma EF-500 DG Super flash and Canon off-camera shoe cord 2. (105mm @ approx 1:1.2 magnification, 1/200 sec @ f/16, ISO 400, manual exposure mode, manual focus, ETTL flash mode @ -1 FEC on camera, and built-in diffusion screen lowered on flash). I could have used a smaller aperture for greater DOF, since the Sigma 105 is capable of apertures as small as f/45!Working distance between subject and front edge of lens barrel is 4.75 inches at 1:1 magnification (closest focusing distance), or 8.75" at 1:2, 13" @ 1:3, 17" @ 1:4.
