JERRY FISK MS, “WING HANDLED B
DSC02992.JPG
JERRY FISK MS, “WING HANDLED BOOT KNIFE”, 1995 - THIS IS A ONE OF A KIND BOOT KNIFE WITH A METICULOUSLY FLUTED ANTIQUE ELEPHANT IVORY HANDLE RESEMBLING A BIRD’S WING. THIS PIECE FEATURES A RANDOM PATTERN DAMASCUS FERRULE, GUARD AND BLADE OF 1084 AND 15N20 WITH A BLACK ENAMELED FINISH FOR MAXIMUM CONTRAST. IT HAS A CHISEL GROUND SHARPENED TOP CLIP. THIS KNIFE IS VERY UNIQUE IN THAT IT'S ONLY MARKED “FISK” WITHOUT A "MS" STAMP. AN OUTSTANDING SILVER BOOT SHEATH ADDS TO THE RARENESS OF THIS PIECE. THIS BEAUTY IS FEATURED IN DAVID DAROM'S 2010 BOOK "THE WORLD OF ART KNIVES", INTRODUCTION SECTION "JERRY FISK, THE MAN AND HIS ART" (PG.28). OAL 8 3/8” (213 MM) – BL 4 1/8” (106 MM).
