14 - Montreal had Myrtha build a temporary pool for the World Championships, because the one competition pool at the aquatic complex wasn't enough. The problem was that this pool was built on the neighboring island connected by a bridge over the St. Lawrence River. The walk between the warm-up pool and this pool was about 15 minutes! There were also no proper toilet facilities (only a few over-flowing porta-potties) or shade in the bleachers, so there were a lot of complaints from the swimmers and spectators alike. Fortunately, I only had to compete in one race at this pool, because it wasn't a pool I wanted to hang out at during the meet!
