| | Crashed F4 Phantom Fighter Jet - Parker Arizona | | This F4 crashed October 22nd 1975. My grandfather knew of the crash just days after it had happened. Ever since then, I have been going to the crash site about once a year just to look around at all the thousands of broken parts. The crash site is located about 15 miles W of Parker, AZ off Shea Road. I'm one of the very few that has known about this crash site and where it is located. The whole tail section of the F4 is still intacked and still laying up on a mountain. The plane pieces were painted brown quite sometime ago so that it couldn't be spotted from a distance. This area a closed route. If anyone has any old photos from the late 70's of the crash site, please contact me at riverratmike@yahoo.com
Thanks |
| | 2007 Lightning/Storm Cloud Photos Havasu/Parker | | 2007 monsoon season in Havasu/Parker was a dry one for sure. Normally I would have captured over 200 lightning images but this year I was lucky to even get 20. We had one storm back in July 28th 2007 in Havasu that wasn't really all that strong. But I was able to capture some close lightning strikes. Hopefully next year there will be alot more active severe weather in Lake Havasu City. |

| | 2003 Lightning/Storm Cloud Photos Havasu/Parker | | All lightning images here are taken by me. I'm using a Olympus C-5050 5 megapixel digital camera. Using a slow shutter speed of 16 seconds of exposure time. Some of the lower quaility photos are from my Sony TRV-65 cam-corder and use imaging software for that to get the lightning stills. Lightning gives me a big thrill and I'll always be taking photos it whenever it is close. |

| | Swansea Ghost Town 3-12 3-13-2005 | | This was my first time ever camping out at Swansea Ghost Town. I had been there many times before on my dirtbike but never camped there. Swansea is located about 30 miles east of Parker, AZ. Swansea was a mining town between the years of 1862 and 1943, with as many as 2000 people living there. Very few things of the old mining town still remains but some structures are still standing. It amazes me that people lived and worked there. My neighboor Brenda and Heather and I took our RV's there and camped out and spent the night. It was spooky out there at night being miles away from anything. But the view of the night time sky was incredible. Never seen so many bright stars. We had a great time. Hope you enjoy the photos. 3-12-2005 to 3-13-2005 |
