Bell.jpg Bells like this are very popular in Korea. This particular bell is located at the DMZ near the entrance to the fourth infiltration tunnel. The North Koreans had been digging tunnels under the DMZ so they could launch surprise attacks on the South. In 1991 the fourth tunnel was located and turned into a little known tourist site. There is an observatory at the top of the ridge that makes up what is commonly referred to as the Punchbowl. This bell sits on that ridge and was spotted as I drove down the hill from the observatory.
