|Built by Mustang Marine (Wales) Ltd for Briggs Marine and presently under contract to the Environment Agency for survey work, replacing their previous vessel, Water Guardian.|
This is an 18m catamaran designed to operate within the MCA Small Vessel Code, Category 2, to operate up to 60 miles from safe haven.
Powered with twin Volvo D9-MH diesel engines rated 261bkW at 2,200rpm and close-coupled to Twin Disc MGX-5075 integral ‘V’-drive gearboxes turning conventional propellers. At the design displacement the vessel will be able to cruise at 17knots.
The vessel’s aft working aft deck features a 2-tonne A-Frame, Man-overboard davit and moon pool. A work bench is also fitted.
There is accommodation for six in three twin cabins.
