Cancun 2015
A whole week of fun in the sun, with my beautiful wife, bro and sister in law. Stayed at the GR Caribe and took in Cancun, Chichinitza, Xcaret, beach, pools, massage, and a lot of drinks.
MT RAINIER 2014
Mt Conness Young Lakes 2014
Third time up Conness and 2nd summit...this time rightfully placing a rock for my baby girl at the highest point, 12590'. Went in via Young Lake and used her shores as base camp with Lost it Lou, Ramblin Rob, GI Joe, and Downhill Donald. Another epic journey! Nothing worth while is easy.
Stinson 2014
Summer time...go to the beach! Bubba's first plunge
IWU 2013
We celebrated my Grama's long, and beautiful life, with a day of adventure on Class III IV White Water. She would have had it no other way!
Kirkwood Pow Day 2014
Fresh off a shitty stomach bug, and a shitty season depth total, I got some of the best riding at Kirkwood after 18" of fresh!
Fall in Yosemite Valley 2013
Fall in Yosemite, it doesn't get much better.
Mt Whitney & Mt Conness, Sept 2013
Acclimatized with the boys, Ken Bihn and Jeff Keefner, at 9500' while staying the first few nights at Tioga Pass Resort. Finished what I started in June, summiting Mt Conness on day 2. On day 4, we made our way to base camp at Upper Boy Scout Lake from Whitney Portal, and completed our goal of Whitney's summit via the Mountaineers Route the following day. 3 days, 2 nights on Whitney courtesy of Sierra Mountain Center, and our guide Sam the man. 14501'!
KIRKWOOD 2012-2013
A little GoPro action with Baylee and Friends!
Mt Conness June, 2013
Attempted to summit via E Ridge from Young Lakes. 3 days in the back country: bad weather, acclimatizing, etc. Conness rises to 12648' and is the 3rd largest peak in Yosemite. I conquered all but 50' or so; the final approach was blocked by a steep snowfield.

Rocky Mountain National Park - Longs Peak, CO 2011
The quest for our first 14'er. Longs Peak rises from it's trail head at 9400' to 14,259'. The trail is 14-16 mi long and took us 14.5 hrs to complete. Ken and I began at 2 am, head-lamps blazing, and we arrived at the boulder field by 5 am to rest and watch the sunrise. I set out for the summit through the Key Hole around 6 am; what should've only taken a little over 4 hrs at that point, took me 6 due to altitude sickness. Luckily, I was back through the Key Hole just as the afternoon thunder storms began pounding the peak. Ken and I were off the mountain and signing out of the trail register by 4:30. This wasn't a hike, it was a climb - my first peak above 14K'. Words can't explain this trip, it's experience I'll never forget. Humbled, exhilarated, defeated, celebration, and respect are just some of the words that come to mind.
AZ 2011

Solano Stroll, 2010
Great Day again! This time we raised over $2300 for a Promise to PJ, and a CURE for Tay-Sachs! Special thanks to our donors and to those who contributed to the production of our raffle baskets. A very special thank you goes to Michelle Batterman at Thairapeutics for making all of this possible; Candi Bussier at Moca Creations for all our SWAG, and Ken Bihn with the Cure Tay-Sachs Foudation for all his support!
American River trip 2010
Largest group we ever took down the American - 28 rafters in all, 3 boats, lots of sun, a little booze and a lot of fun!
Zion, 2010
Met up with Ken again for another summer death march. This time, we had two more participants, Mark Rader and his son Richie. Met up in Vegas, and drove to Zion National Park, UT. Three days of hiking: 1. Angel's Landing (5.4 mi, 1488' elev gain, 2 hrs) 2. East Rim/Observation Pt (8 mi, 2148' elev gain, 4.5 hrs, 102*F) 3. Virgin River Narrows (17 mi Top down in 9 hrs) Words learned: "Cathedralesque, Due Perpendicular, and Palinized!"
Australia, Nov 09
Nik and I finally celebrated the honeymoon we never really had...long over-due reconnection. Fabulous time starting in Cairns with trips to the Great Barrier Reef, Hartley's Crock Adventures, and an Eco Safari through the rain forest/bush. Then it was off to Kira Beach for sun and relaxation and finally a few days in Sydney to see the town, Bondi Beach, and the Blue Mountains. Love you Nik!
Yosemite 09
Ken Bihn came all the way from OH to hike Yosemite's Half Dome. Great Challenge! 17 mi RT, and almost a mile up...we made it to the top in just over 4 hrs!
