| | Albuddy-agility, frisbee or jog/running partner | Alby is a young adult and full of life and joie de vivre. This guy's not hyper, he's energetic, happy, affectionate, very smart and wants to understand what you're telling him. He is very trainable. He'll chase a ball or toy or laser light until he just can't physically do it any more and is worn out. He'll also lay down at your feet at the computer or watch TV with you or sleep. He does want to be with you or know where you are in the house.
He is crate trained but doesn't really like it as some dogs do. If you leave the door open, he'll pull his blankies out and lay on them just outside the crate door.
Alby weighs 45 lbs and is very graceful and light on his feet. He's not a big barker and is not aggressive though he does have "the prey or herding drive" as part of his genetic makeup. In his current temporary foster home, he plays with the small dog and accepts the cats but is not left unsupervised with them.
We believe ALBY could be trained as a search dog but prefer to adopt him into a family environment. He will make a wonderful forever pet for someone who is looking for a true friend and companion. |
