  • Can you upload pictures? Do you keep getting a "No Modifications Required" message?

To publish a picture select the picture and click the Published Public or Published Private menuitem from the Web menu.

  • Can you connect to the Internet?

Make sure you can connect to the FotoTime website. The easiest way to test this connection is to go to www.fototime.com Another test is to ping www.fototime.com from a command prompt or MS-DOS window and see if you have a stable connection.

Or, disable your firewall when FotoSyncing. For some firewalls you might have to uninstall the firewall software for FotoSync to work.

If you are running any software applications that changes the behavior of your internet connection such as privacy software, software proxys, internet connection accelerators, etc., make sure these applications are configured to allow other applications to send http transactions. Or, disable these applications when syncing.

  • Is your PC behind a proxy server or hardware firewall?

If your PC is behind a proxy server or hardware firewall you might not be able to FotoSync. Many proxy servers and firewalls limit the amount of data that can be uploaded to a web server. Some proxy servers allow no data to be uploaded to the server, while others put a limit on the amount of data that can be uploaded. If some files get uploaded but other files hang or do not get uploaded it might be due to a proxy server. To solve proxy or hardware firewall problems, check with your System Administrator for assistance. Many businesses use proxy servers and firewalls.
