| Mt Conness Young Lakes 2014 | Third time up Conness and 2nd summit...this time rightfully placing a rock for my baby girl at the highest point, 12590'. Went in via Young Lake and used her shores as base camp with Lost it Lou, Ramblin Rob, GI Joe, and Downhill Donald. Another epic journey! Nothing worth while is easy. |

| Mt Whitney & Mt Conness, Sept 2013 | Acclimatized with the boys, Ken Bihn and Jeff Keefner, at 9500' while staying the first few nights at Tioga Pass Resort. Finished what I started in June, summiting Mt Conness on day 2. On day 4, we made our way to base camp at Upper Boy Scout Lake from Whitney Portal, and completed our goal of Whitney's summit via the Mountaineers Route the following day. 3 days, 2 nights on Whitney courtesy of Sierra Mountain Center, and our guide Sam the man. 14501'! |

|
| Mt Conness June, 2013 | Attempted to summit via E Ridge from Young Lakes. 3 days in the back country: bad weather, acclimatizing, etc. Conness rises to 12648' and is the 3rd largest peak in Yosemite. I conquered all but 50' or so; the final approach was blocked by a steep snowfield. |

| Rocky Mountain National Park - Longs Peak, CO 2011 | The quest for our first 14'er. Longs Peak rises from it's trail head at 9400' to 14,259'. The trail is 14-16 mi long and took us 14.5 hrs to complete. Ken and I began at 2 am, head-lamps blazing, and we arrived at the boulder field by 5 am to rest and watch the sunrise. I set out for the summit through the Key Hole around 6 am; what should've only taken a little over 4 hrs at that point, took me 6 due to altitude sickness. Luckily, I was back through the Key Hole just as the afternoon thunder storms began pounding the peak. Ken and I were off the mountain and signing out of the trail register by 4:30. This wasn't a hike, it was a climb - my first peak above 14K'. Words can't explain this trip, it's experience I'll never forget. Humbled, exhilarated, defeated, celebration, and respect are just some of the words that come to mind. |

Fabulous time starting in Cairns with trips to the Great Barrier Reef, Hartley's Crock Adventures, and an Eco Safari through the rain forest/bush. Then it was off to Kira Beach for sun and relaxation and finally a few days in Sydney to see the town, Bondi Beach, and the Blue Mountains. Love you Nik! |
